Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment
1IMGABn Chief of Medical Service Captain of Medical Service Tokarev is a veteran of the battalion. Since the battalion’s formation he has served as the Chief of Medical Service. As a member of the battalion he participated in the Finnish War and displayed boldness, valor, and courage. He was repeatedly subjected to shelling for which he was noted in the division commander’s order.
After the Finnish War under the leadership of Captain Tokarev much work was dedicated to improving care for the battalion’s personnel when a new medical unit was formed.
During the Patriotic War Captain Tokarev again rendered much care to the battalion’s personnel. Under his leadership five company medical bunkers were built, a battalion aid station and quarantine post. He repeatedly visited frontline with hunter-killer teams, personally killing five White Finns. Under enemy fire he rendered aid to the wounded and organized their evacuation to the rear area.
During the Leningrad blockage he displayed exceptional care to the soldiers. He often introduced valuable proposals that preserved the fighting strength and energy of the Red Army men.
For boldness, fearlessness, and accomplished work in preserving the health of our soldiers, he is deserving of the Order of the Red Banner.
