Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment

Major Pivovar organized and made great contributions to tracking and verifying the artillery’s command composition, missing in action requests, and also requesting commanders serving at the same time.

He correctly and capably approaches the selection, assignment, and employment of each commander according to his specialty. He daily studies the command slate while among the units determining each officer’s theoretical training and actual qualities, simultaneously making recommendations on promotion and additional training for those officers weak on theoretical preparation.

His records and accountability of the personnel, their awarding, and promotions are tracked at a high level.

In December 1942 when two Supreme Command Reserve artillery-mortar regiments were being formed he made great contributions by fully manning the leadership ranks within [trans: print unclear - either 3 or 8] eight days.

During the March operations he personally spent the entire time among the units providing replacements to the leadership who were put out of action to wounds or other causes.

He compiled award material in a time manner for reporting to the Army’s Military Committee on leadership and enlisted excelling in combat against the German invaders.

He is an effective, dedicated, honest, hard, and strong-willed commander.

He is dedicated to the Lenin-Stalin Party and the Socialist Motherland.

He is deserving of the Order of the Red Star.

Signed 33rd Army Artillery Commander General-Lieutenant of Artillery Bodrov in July, 1943

Awarded the Order of the Red Star according to 33rd Army Order 0326 dated 5.9.43, signed Army Commander General-Lieutenant Gordov, Member of the Military Committee General-Major Babiichuk, and compiled by Deputy Chief of Personnel Senior Lieutenant of Administrative Services Dorofeeva.
