    Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment

    1. While (?) in the 40[trans: sic] Shock Army, (?) Rifle Division, 631st Rifle Regiment as the Chief of Communications (?). Bolshaya Vereika (Voronezh Oblast) with his senior adjutant captured a feldwebel, corporal, and an armored personnel vehicle.

    2. As Chief of Communications, 2nd Battalion, 631st Rifle Regiment he was recommended by the battalion commissar for the Order of the Red Banner for supplying continuous communications between the battalion and the higher regiment and subordinate companies, however soon after he was released from the units due to a wound and has not received the decoration to date.

    3. As 631st Rifle Regiment Chief of Communications during a penetration of our regiment by German tanks, two tank went deep into our defense and put out of action an anti-tank rifle crew and advanced on the regiment’s central telephone station, he disabled a German tank with an anti-tank grenade, thus saving the central telephone station and the regiment’s chief of staff.

    He is deserving of the Order of the Red Star.
