Short description of personal combat feat or accomplishment
While accomplishing the Command’s mission on 1.10.43, Junior Lieutenant Chkhartishvili conducted a reconnaissance by force of the lead edge of the enemy’s defense on Hill 88.1 and accurately determined the enemy’s firing system.
As a result of his accurate information, two enemy mortar batteries and two enemy machineguns were put out of action before being able to act.
He is deserving of the Bravery Medal.

Note the damage to the 3 and 9 o'clock arms appears "fresher", less tarnish, than the seven o'clock arm. The archive also documents his being awarded an Order of the Patriotic War in 1st Class, 1985 Jubilee Issue.
