Hi guys,

I believe it was awarded at 1945 or at the end of 1944.
If you are interesting I can provide its full Arhival Research.
Hi Mo, here are the dates of some around that serial number range:
2.562.179 13.06.1945
2.679.794 08.04.1945
2.695.370 06.05.1946
Cheers, Ade.
Thanks for the help guys. This is one that is for sale. I don't think I'll be buying it as 1946 is a bit late for me.
It was produced by the Moscow Mint in September 1945.
It is marked "Monetniy Dvor"
It is most likely a long service award, correct?
It is possibly issued for Long Service, but could equally be a catch up bravery award. Only by having it researched would you know for sure.
Cheers, Ade.
I can get this Red Star for about $30 so I guess it might be worth it to just pick it up and maybe have it researched later. What would be the most reliable, honest way to get these researched?
I agree with Ade. It's probably an award for wartime bravery.
There are several researchers that can research it in the Russian MoD archive. PM me if you need contact details.
Cheaper than the metal cost today, if you couldn't get anyone to research, let me know
