Last year Belorussian diggers found out remains of a German soldier. No docs, no name. Diggers were a bit surprised when they found the Red Star in German's pocket. Fortunately the number of the order let to find out the name of it's owner. Ivan Smirnov, a bomber pilot, didn't get back from his last combat flight in September 1942. Nobody knows where and how he died and buried. Only the Red Star came back in 77 years after and was returned to the family. Here it is.
