    It really was! The translation was also quick... I just got this part back from Artem:

    Awards: Red Banner (long service award)
    Lenin (also)

    Short Description of Personal Deeds:
    In the interaction with the management of logistics army under extremely difficult conditions of transportation, he ensured timely delivery of ammunition to artillery in the rear head office of the warehouse. He worked selflessly, tirelessly and didn't spare his own strength.

    Wow, the coolest thing about that citation is that he was at Lake Khasan. Not many people were. Your guy was a career soldier who was involved with the fighting before WWII even officially started!

    Hey Mo,

    Thanks for the comment! I didn't know much about the Battle of Lake Khasan and am doing some light research now... very cool!

    While I was originally hoping that the citation would have had something to do with a bayonet charge, taking out a whole squad of Nazi's, etc. I am still very happy and extremely satisfied with this Red Star and the background story behind it! I'm hoping to be able to print out the pages of the citation to display with it.
