During the offensive fighting to break through the heavily prepared defense near Budenuguotske (Gruitse Region, Warsaw Voevodstvo), Comrade Borisenko and his crew operated in an assault group among the infantry formations. The gun was manually lugged and pressed the attack through forested, swampy terrain, firing on direct lay and despite extremely heavy, enemy machinegun and artillery fire, Comrade Borisenko and his gun supported our infantry with accurate fire and accompanied their movement. In only one day of fighting on 14.01.1945 his gun destroyed eleven enemy soldiers and officers and suppressed three enemy firing positions. There were no losses in Comrade Borisenko’s crew.
He is deserving of the Order of the Red Star.
