Following on from a request in another thread, here is my collection of 1957 KVKs.

First up is the Kriegsverdienstmedaille and the 2nd class awards, with and without swords.......

If you look at the first medal you can see that the quality of workmanship isn't the same as the original ones.

Absolutely. The second class awards are wartime quality but the other awards, in spite of them all being early just don't compare to the pre May '45 quality of workmanship.

I haven't come across any yet Nick but I wouldn't be surprised if some enterprising person somewhere will think about it, even if the quality of these awards is poor by comparison.
Saying that though, I have a '57 RK that I believe to be a copy.

nice collection of 57s, by the way did they made all wwii awards as a 57 version, woud like to see an 57 anti partisan or ss/nsdap long service medals
