Re: 10 medal ribbon bar identification
I don't know them all off the top of my head, but here is what I do know:
Starting from left:
1. Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914 w/1939 spange.
2. War Merit Cross 2nd Class w/swords.
3,4,5 I don't know
6. Hindenburg cross w/swords
7, 8 Wehrmacht service awards (4-year, I think)
9. Westwall medal
10 I don't know.
Hope this helps.

Re: 10 medal ribbon bar identification
Anubis and wood,
Your observations are noted but rest assured the bar is 100% original. If its wrong then the other items appertaining to its original owner would also be wrong. They and the bar are totally correct and come from an Oberst who was stationed in Jersey during the Occupation.
If anyone can furnish me with details as to what the ww1 ribbons are for then that would be appreciated.

Re: 10 medal ribbon bar identification
Jersey, from that picture you posted it can't be tell that the bar is original or not. I don't know on which foum the guys told you its an original one, they may have right, but to determine for sure you need to post a picture from the reverse too.

Re: 10 medal ribbon bar identification
I am not asking if its original (it is so don't worry yourself about that), do you know the answer to the question being asked.... what medals are the ww1 ribbons for?
Thanks
D
