Hey you live in Charlotte! Only 30 minutes from me, I live in Hickory. Hmm, this variety of pin is always tricky. I've seen these before, though I can't quite put a finger on where...personally I stay away from them since Olympic pins are widely faked. I'm interested to see what others say as well.

Thanks Corey! I also bought the 1936 Participant medal. It is very much authentic. It matches up perfectly and even weighs what it should weigh, compared to what I have found on the web!

I think that these are fantasy pieces...just like all of the other small enamels just like them. You'll see a variety of subject matters featured on these same small round sized discs.

I would have to agree in all honesty.

I assume that you were looking at this on the WAF E-Stand? If so the seller states that he had it "OK'd" in a discussion...if you research back you will see that he received ONE single piece of feedback and that was it.

I just do not think that there is any information to back these pieces up as being Pre May 1945.

    Just my .02 worth...

    Chrys,

Can you please provide a link to the discussion as I would like to comment.
