Hi, your maker is on your box lid. Deschler and sohn munchen I think it is.
These crosses aren't really worth what we'd like them to be, ESP with the 25 years long service medal.

I wonder why some of these medals have held up so nicely and some havent. For instance, this one looks like something brand new that was made last week and its authentic as opposed to alot of the iron crosses and stuff that look so old. It's pretty much same time period, right? Is it just the materials chosen for the different medals?

I agree with you they are a great looking cross but they were made in such vast quantity. They are quite a common item and very easy to get hold of
