well I arrived back from a jolly last night and waiting for me was the chap below.

Thank you all for your opinions and wishes as it is indeed a nice genuine type 1 Juncker badge.
What makes it even more appealing is there is just a hint of the original gilding on the hook plate making me believe (as I thought) a gold grade.

I'm seeing this a bit late, but I would have also said it looks good If I'd gotten into the conversation earlier. Glad to hear that everyone was right once you got it.
I have a silver that I've had for 55+ yrs and got lucky about 10 yrs ago and got an award document. Neat badges! Looks like I need to take a photo of the award doc since I don't find one!
Here it is on my original display board (a bath towel) nailed on the wall of my bed room in about 1958. It is low center right in the photo beside my 2 SS longevity medals.

Thought I had photos of the doc and close ups of the badge, but don't find them.
I'm in the process of changing computers and so have stuff in 2 places at present.
Will get photos up once I get this mess unscrambled.
