    Default Beobachterabzeichen - Berg & Nolte ???

    Hello gentlemen,

I'm observing an auction where the badge is selling as replica. This badge is marked by B&N L. One of buyers supposed that one is unknown original, another told that B&N never produced the observer badges. Could it be original?
Current rate 70$ is exceeding a price for copy. May be, I would stake there.

    Thanks in advance,
    Alex

It's a fake. As you have indicated, it is known in all serious collecting circles that B&NL did not produce Beobachterabzeichen. The entire hardware, hinge, rivets and catch do not resemble B&NL production set ups. As for it being an "unknown original", well the gentleman is entitled to his opinions......

An very poor fake with an eagle in the "Assmann" design. Complete bad to the bone and as Ned mentioned, B&NL did not made "Beobachterabzeichen" in WW2.
