Bronze Bandenkampfabzeichen ................real?

I've had a closer look now and I believe the badge above to be a fake. There are several differences on the obverse details and the reverse of the badge from accepted original awards.
These badges are quite rare and command a premium price. I would suggest that if he is an old collector he should know the value of an original badge and know what price he can expect for it if original. The fact he is 'open to offers' makes me think he knows it's a fake but is trying his luck to see if anyone takes the bait. Couple that with the censored photo and the others you've been sent with no continuity you would be well advised to stay clear.

Sensible advice Adrian. - Indeed, an older and 'experienced' collector
would have a very good idea of current values of genuine items.
Maybe he's just trying to move the bad ones !

Still, I'd like to see some photos of some of the
other stuff - you never know.........

Craigslist is def a gamble, but i believe it to be much more genuine than ebay ! I have found several very nice items on CL and the sellers were uneducated as to the value of their items, so the prices were excellent for a up and coming collector like myself. However, like stated above, there are risks, that is why i know i can turn to my peers on this forum and my Father-in-law, a collector of over 42 yrs for advice!..........I know these pics are not following the thread i started, but they do go with where this conversation is headed, so bear with me. Here are two of my CL finds, enjoy and thanks for confirming what i already knew about this Bandenkampfabzeichen.

Glenn, i have posted these items before. The TK can be found in the SS forum in several threads under the metal cap insignia section. I also have it paired with my Assman eagle. You can see the reverse there. The belt is is in it's respected area also, but for simplicity, here is the reverse. It is an M1/24 Overhoff. Note the markings on the pin as well.
