Can the dismantling of Third Reich artifacts for research purposes be justified?

As with most of these discussions there are many scenarios, many variables, many opinions and no conclusive answers.
It is down to the individual to decide what is right or wrong, what is acceptable or not.

Just because there are differences of opinions it doesn't make anyone right or wrong.

There are no more conclusions to be drawn. Thank you to all who participated but I think it is time to draw a line under the thread and move on.
