alfonso, as Ade states, 100% genuine, by a good maker, 'St & L' is the marking for Steinhauer and Luck of Ludenscheid, this firm is still in business today, making medals/awards and badges. The Hindenburg cross you show is the version for combatants (has crossed swords), there is also a non-combatants (no swords) and a blackened version of the non combatants for widows/next of kin, they are all inexpensive medals to collect, and there is a huge variety of makers for this medal, I believe they were still being supplied in 1945 !

I agree with the others, it's original. Hindenburg Crosses are not widely faked because they are cheap and common, so if you buy one, you're almost guaranteed an original. It's a nice medal though, I like it.

I bought the Cross. However, I am interested in something. The sign of manufacturer St. & L. is embedded (depressed) in the center of the back of the decoration. Is this right? I sent the photos, but I do not have a quality device.
    Greetings, Aleksandar

alfonso, yes it is correct, with a vast number of manufactures for this award, some had stamped mm (depressed, applied after production) others mm stood proud (part of the die/mould)......
