Thank you for posting Jake, a fine award.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Beautiful award. Thankfully, the enamel survived and it is very nicely preserved, despite sharing the bed with another!

dont forget the 5 6 7 8 and 10 rivets dkig
higher then 5 rivets seems to be factory repair
a nice site thanks for posting sam
but houwe didt they find 30000 examples given out as some sites state there are no more then 24204 and some say less then 20000 recipients
were do they get there info from or are these just given possible recipients whit an extual unknown?
I have no idea how they generated the numbers, but I do know allot were made and never given out. They were used for back ups or replacements for ones lost or destroyed. So 30000 medals could be accurate? The site is pretty accurate with other information and other items...........so I tend to believe the figures.
Sam
