Not a bad price, but IF it was a silver cross someone got a real bargain IMO.

    Regards, Ned.

The reverse looks o.k., note where the rivet has been 'tightened' with a tap on a screwdriver or drift. The Zimmermann DKiS I had exactly the same marks on two of the rivets, I have been told that they were known for coming loose. That's not something you'd expect a faker to think of. A clear, close pic of the makers no.20 under the pin would also help.

The photo you've got up in the Classifieds of the obverse is not good enough to form a considered opinion in my view it's too small and grainy. You need closer, focussed shots of the date, wreath and a close up of the "11 o'clock flaw".

    Regards, Ned.

Yes, a cunning and subtle one....In fact one so cunning you could brush yer teeth with it!

Not entirely true at all. The cross that started this thread is authentic.

Us and them - and after all were only ordinary men. Me, and you - God only knows its not what we would choose to do. Forward he cried from the rear, and the front rank died, and the general sat and the lines on the map moved from side to side.

So my suspicions are confirmed....It IS a genuine DKiS.

On the other hand it's a shame that Kev missed a bargain due to other concerns that now appear unfounded.
