Kevin the price doesn't really sell it to me...I would expect a little more even in this state & no box.....I'm just waiting for my book to come from B & D publishers...Should be a good read...Can't wait.. Cheers Terry.

If this were a real gold cross it would be worth double that.

Kevin,FYI the cross was a silver , text book heavy unmarked Deshler . It strikes me funny because WAF had it on their site and everyone had thumbs up ..and yes it does have those lines above and on bottom of the date. Let's all learn from this.. Look closely .. I am new and haven't posted much but aren't we trying to learn??

    Interesting Dennis.

Maybe if someone has the DK book they could check and see if this variant is in there.....?

Hi Adrian, I have The German Cross by Maerz and it is in the book pg 100 & 101 . This cross sold for 1500 pounds plus 23% commission and perhaps shipping . Way out of my range . Someone really wanted that cross and knew it was the real deal. I tried but not my day..

I've somehow missed this one.... Looks o.k. to me, the lines around the date ARE correct for Deschler, and I like the rivets as well. The slightly 'splayed' wreath, where the leaves stick out around the edges a little is also typical for a Deschler cross. Hardware looks alright too.

The only real question I would have about this cross is whether it's a Gold or Silver one.....That would be nice wouldn't it??
