    Default Deutsche Kreuz in Gold recipient.

    I am looking for the name of a German cross in Gold recipient killed in a Ju88 crash in the hills of Wiesbaden Germany .Any help would be great.Click image for larger version.

    Unfortunately I can't help with any information regarding the person you seek Chris but I would be interested to see some more of the awards pictured. Are some of these attributed to the person in question? The DKiG looks rather beaten up, did this survive the plane crash?

    Adrian yes the Dkig was found at the plane crash site found by my uncle back in the 1972 ,He was able to find alot of stuff at the location he also has the Ju88 serial plaque could that help to find out who was in the plane.The box with the medals is his not from my collection.

    I will ,maybe the info on the JU88 plaque will help to get more info on the recipient.

    I just got the info from the plaque.
    Serial number 9-610930
    werk number 1509
    ju88a with 211f engines.

    Probably won't find much in this forum. Why not try in the archaeology section?

    The modern day Luftwaffe may even have records available?
