re: Deutschen Adlerodern: is it right?
Thanks. I don't know enough about these to make a call, but I do know that without good pics, you will not get a good opinion.

re: Deutschen Adlerodern: is it right?
If not horribly mistaken, it's a fake/copy. I have one identical to this one and was told it was bad. Lack of detail to the rear of swords is just one point.

re: Deutschen Adlerodern: is it right?
Not sharp enough detail to represent a period made piece in my opinion.

re: Deutschen Adlerodern: is it right?
Gotta be careful with auction houses. Most seem to have no idea if something is authentic or not. They really leave it up to the buyer to determine. I've done very well with helmets at auctions, but I shy away from medals as the picture quality is usually awful and some only show one side from six feet away. Glad you posted it here first. I would not be surprised if they get 600 for it from some unsuspecting bidder. If you have the chance keep an eye on it just to see what it sells for. I'd be curious to know.

Re: Deutschen Adlerodern: is it right?
I almost bought a similar medal for $450 a few years ago.
Thankfully, I did not risk it !
I like to see sewn-on pins - like Nicks example above.
Many of the fakes do not have pins - or the
correct ribbon.........!
