Well worn, used and abused but it only cost $7 (yes, seven dollars). My wife said the lady was happy to sell it. She didn't know it was real only that it had a swastika and she thought I'd like it. Thanks, Honey! A real once in a lifetime chance. It's the only way this retired old collector could ever have one in his modest collection.
I wanted to share this story just to let you see what's still out there if you happen to at the right place at the right time.

A very nice original cross that's seen some wear that adds to it's overall charm, and at 7 bucks that sure is the deal of a lifetime, I mean, why not 10????

    Regards, Ned.

You could make her day by bunging her an extra 13$. She'd be chuffed & you're still quids in (or dollars). Stewy

Stewy, it was back in 1963, she's probably brown bread long since......

I do feel a bit guilty about things but experience tells me that since everyone is happy to just "Let It Be" (I love The Beatles) Think about it, if I show up throwing more money at her it will eventually cause doubt.
Yes, other things came with the sale and here's a pic of the group showing their condition before I had them cleaned by a jeweler friend of ours.
BTW that's the L14 Verwundetenabzeichen 1939 in Silber that's been causing so much controversy. That's why I feel it's an original although weird badge.
Thanks for your comments everyone, I really appreciate it as I have had better days.
    Best regards,
    Dennis

Your call my friend. You could buy her some flowers, or something & always say it's a "thank you" because they cleaned up a treat. That way you're covered if you think she'll get suspicious. Manners/kindness cost nothing. Just a thought. Stewy

I'm with Stewey on this, make the woman's day, show some kindness and gain some good kharma. Even if you bunged her $50 you're still miles ahead.
