    Given the ranking and honour of this badge I couldn't see any jeweler worth his pumpernickel misaligning the two layers of rays like this one has.
    Far from an expert but I don't see the quality it needs.....

    I like it. A nice Deschler imho but dont take my word for it. Wait for others

    i agree with Woolgar. a good example.

    to my eye also appears to be a deschler. would be nice to see an angled shot of the catch but with the pictures provided this is my opinion.

    It certainly compares well to known original Deschler examples.

    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

    The rivets, the pin and hinge...all look okey to me. I'd say you finally found an original. I think the Silvers are actually abit tougher to find in nice shape than the Golds...

    Well sorry Kevin, I retract my negative comment. I just baulked at the skewed assembly of it ( very un-Teutonic of Deschler!! )
    I have been advised by many to look for quality work and this one threw me - oh well, luckily I collect relics!!!
