Dienstauszeichnung für den Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD)
Hi all,
This time I need help to understand the RAD medals. As far as I know there are two versions, one for men and one for women. And in 1957 it came one without the swastika.
But then there are four different classes within each version:
1 class = Gold (25 years)
2 class = Silver (18 years)
3 class = Silver (12 years)
4 class = Bronze (4 years)
So what is the different appearance between 2 and 3 class which are both silver?
What have I missed?
Thanks
Jonas

The 18 year grade (= 2nd class) had a silver Hoheitszeichen, i.e. the national eagle, on the ribbon; the 12 year grade (= 3rd class) had no device.
