Hi Apace, welcome to the forum!

Sorry to say that the medal is a fantasty item which never existed during the Third Reich. The ribbon is taken from a Hindenburg Cross. It was most likely made in Eastern Europe as a tourist item and sold on flea markets.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Hi Apacs

Agreed, a fantasy medal on a original Hindenburg ribbon...

There's a twist to this thread. The medal in question doesn't seem to a 'fantasy' item after all. These did exist in a Danish Freikorps...

I want to thank apacs for sending these links, I'am glad to have learned something new.

This however does not mean that the medal shown in this thread is an original example. If someone knows more about these, feel free to post...

    Hi..
This is a copy of a "Schalburg-cross" from Denmark.
The original have a needle on the back...
Never seen it before with a ring on
    But it is a Hindenburg-ribbon....
