Early shooting medal?

    Interesting, thanks for the replies. I feel a lot better now.

    I wish they had engraved a name or location on it so I could try to narrow it down... oh, well.

    Usually the only thing that helps narrow these down is the ribbon. The green and white ribbon on mine lets me know that it is from the Gau Sachsen area.

    Green and white ribbons are commonly seen on awards of this type
    - from what I've seen out there anyway.

    I do like it's 'Art Deco' design.........

    The green & white ribbon is common to the Gau Saxony "Sachsen" area...most of these came from this area. I have also seen them with yellow & red ribbons for Gau Baden and yellow & black for Gau Munchen.
