This looks like the Honor Cross for War Participants but it has the wrong ribbon. Do you concur?

Knowing that the ribbon is incorrect would you normally remove it? I do not have the correct ribbon to replace it. Or is that something that you just "deal with" and leave it as is?

I would try to find the correct ribbon.

West Wall and Honour Cross medals are very common,
so it should not take very long to find either.........

Yes I would remove the ribbon and find a nice Westwall, there are many around and easy to pick up
