Ehrenzeichen für deutsche Volkspflege ( social welfare medal )

I recently bought ( from a member here ) this 4th class social welfare medal. I think its all OK but the ribbon is not as bright as others I have seen on the web. I thought at first it was faded but that is the colour all the way through - sort of a magenta rather than the bright red of say an EK2.

Two shots without flash, two with flash. ( the spots on the front are small 'greenish' corrosion ....verdigris??? )

Any thoughts as to why it is this colour? ....... were there different shades from different makers? and finally, who made these.... ( I cannot find a MM )

Hello,
The ribbon color on these awards will vary from red, pink to orange (I had a mounted example with a pinkish ribbon). It is like EK and War Merit Cross ribbon. Different companies made these so it would be hard to tell who the maker is.
