Re: Luftwaffe Flak Badge - fake or not ??
Hello and welcome to the forum!
The thickness of the badge would also be of concern to me along with the things you point out.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Re: Flakkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe - fake or not ??
Hello mate,
This is a well known fake that's been doing the rounds for a few years now. It's known as the "Claw Foot" fake, and can be found trying to masquerade as various marked makers such as BNL, Weidmann, S&L, Junker and unmarked examples such as the one you show.
There are different rear set ups found, wide pin, needle pin, hinges and catches also vary, but it is a relatively easy fake to spot if the specific points that you and Adrian have already addressed are taken note of.
Regards, Ned.

Re: Flakkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe - fake or not ??
Thanks Ned, I was looking at it via my phone so couldn't be sure about it being the 'Claw Foot' fake.
A search on the forum will bring up similar fakes as they've been posted before.
