Hi, I have not studied these but I think it is a good late war zinc Assmann award, the case seems ok to me as well. Ned or others will know for sure though so wait for them to "chip in"! Leon.
from the pics,it looks ok.
Hello,
You have been asked in your Sportsabzeichen thread to use the forum's uploading function for posting photos. I have taken the liberty to do the same as Adrian did in that thread and uploaded the photos directly to this thread.
Please read this thread as the next time you use an outside photo hosting site, I will close thread.
Please don't use picture hosting from other picture hosting sites for the forum
Thank you,
Ralph.

I don't like the rear hardware set up, I don't recall seeing this on an Assmann badge of this type before. But the pic showing the hinge straight on has disappeared when the pic's were uploaded correctly. Still, as it stands, not one for me.

It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.

Hi Ned ,had a look through my "old" fake pictures and just found a hinge very similar on a definite fake PAB. The catch also in hindsight seems more like an S&L type that I would guess should not be on an Assmann either. Putting all that together I would say my initial thoughts are incorrect that this is a good one. Hands up, I was wrong!! Leon.
Badge and case are both fakes.
The eagle design is similar to the unknown maker (attributed to "FLL"). The wreath is no Assmann wreath too and the biggest red flags, are the set-up and the complete wrong rivetting for an late war Assmann badge.
Regards
Joe
