re: German Veterans medal?
Hi Darren, yes some kind of unofficial Veterans association type medal. Not one I have seen before, but it is a bit outside of my collecting interests.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: German Veterans medal?
Hi Darrin, I like it, very interesting. I've never seen one either. If Ade hasn't seen one, then there must not be very many of them. Do some more research of post war unit awards on the internet, you should be able to find it.

The establishment of our socialist system has opened the road leading to the ideal society of the future, but to translate this ideal into reality needs hard work.

Re: German Veterans medal?
To be honest, I don't rate it as high as that. Better to spend your cash on something actually wartime.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: German Veterans medal?
This type of thing showing an Iron Cross was very common after WW1 and in trench art , as with Ade i've never seen anyhting like this as part of the Nachlass of a WW2 Veteran or at any Veteran meetings in Germany , most of the badges worn are 57 awards and Divisonal signs /tac signs etc.
