    Ned, well told I your opinion about illness of this badge to his owner, and he donīt want to clean it, because he afraid that the badge can be damaged...

    Big mistake. A toothbrush and hot water will take off the worst and a lick of Vaseline will stem the inevitable. By leaving it as it is he's inadvertently killing it.
