Hilfskreuzer Kriegsabzeichen

Hi all,

The more my small collection grows the more I have to buy expensive badges…
I have seen this (expensive) Hilfskreuzer Kriegsabzeichen in quite good condition I think. Still affraid to make a mistake, before to buy it I just would like to ensure it is an authentic one and that the catch has not been repaired. I think the pictures are good enough for experienced collectors to confirm it is all good or not. What do you think about it?

Hi Pierre,

I think it is a very nice,slightly worn original tombak Juncker.

I really like these examples with the "bluing" on the globe.

Hard to tell if the catch has been resoldered,could be just a sloppy factory job.But if it is resoldered,someone did a real good job.

I tend to think that it is an unmessed with original,but I may be proved wrong.

Either way I like the badge,it has a good look to it and one I would have my collection.

Nice Pierre - lovely condition. I'm on the hunt for one of these - when funds allow me too.
I'm not going to settle for 2nd best either, I want one in nice condition like this.

thanks for your opinions, when I saw your comments yesterday I just bought it! I hope to show some other pictures in one or two weeks. Furthermore, it's nice to know it is a Juncker.
By the way, I bought in a same time (I told myself it was in order to save the shipping costs… ;-) ) a Schnellboot Kriegsabzeichen 2nd form that I hope to show as well in an other thread.

it was in my mailbox this morning. Looks as I expected ;-).
I took an other close up picture of the catch, I like to think it is due to manufacture and not a repair.
