Interesting Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen with award doc and packet

Article about: Evening everyone. Picked this up today. Quite happy as it is in superb condition. Had some problems taking pictures due to the winter glare so had to take a few inside as well. It appears to

    Evening everyone.

    Picked this up today. Quite happy as it is in superb condition. Had some problems taking pictures due to the winter glare so had to take a few inside as well.

    It appears to be a nice tomback with beautiful bright copper like color.

    As noted, I have the award document. I find it interesting that it was awarded to a Postal Assistant. Could someone tell me if I'm translating this incorrectly?
