    Default K & q collection

Hi Chaps, a while back I decided to collect military items made by Klein & Quenzer A.G. of Idar/Oberstein. As most are decorations I thought I'd post my progress here. All the medals/awards are marked '65' (except the War Merit Medal) & all the packets & boxes are maker marked to K & Q. Sadly I'm yet to find a medal marked with the LDO L/26.

One question, did they make a War Merit Cross 1st Class without Swords that they marked '65'?

    Cheers,

    Richard.

A comprehensive collection, is an RK next on the list?
Bizarrely, I don't think K&Q made a KVK1 without swords, I haven't been able to find an example or any reference to them making one.

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

A very impressive focused collection Richard As Adrian says, just an RK missing !!

I just love that inscription on the inside of the Silver Wound badge case

Thanks Carl, Adrian & Ingrid Patrouille.

As for the RK, I'm saving my pennies One for when I win the lottery I would dearly love to add one to the collection.

I'm glad you've not been able to find a KVK1 without swords Adrian as I too have been unable to find any example. Perhaps they made an unmarked one; but that to me is odd considering they marked other production.

    Cheers,

    Richard.

Thanks Nick. Yeah, the inscription was the reason I bought that one. Nice bit of history sent back to the States by a G.I.

    Cheers,

    Richard.
