Kreta coin... Real or Fake?

Since you originaly posted this Item yesterday I have done a little research and found an interesting article on Wehrmacht Awards .com the thread is <Kreta Medallion> from what I gather from reading the post is that there were no Kreta Medallions produced in this color what so ever ie...brass,bronze,gold,or yellow there were two variatons made a small one that was manufactured in white pot metal and the larger size which contained some German silver both medals are very very rare and are highly reproduced and forged. It says that the Fallschirmjager collector George Petersen only ever encountered one of each in 30 years of collecting .

CoinArchives.com sold one of these at auction for 750 Euros recently...just type Einsatz Kreta in the searchfield and you'll see it.
