Hi Glenn,
I can't really research this right now but I don't like the pin or catch at this time.
Ralph.
Searching for anything relating to, Anton Boos, 934 Stamm. Kp. Pz. Erz. Abt. 7, 3 Kompanie, Panzer-Regiment 2, 16th Panzer-Division (My father)
Thanks again, Ralph! No need to research...Your Suspicions regarding the reverse hardware confirm my own on this piece...
cheers, Glenn
Hardware resembles an S&L badge variation 1. However, the eagle shows some differences from the S&L badge in reference.
D.
It can be yours for the princely sum of $21.99:

Brett
This badge has no resemblance to any period award that I know of ?
It certainly is not an S&L award IMO.
I have to say a postwar copy .
Cheers,Martin.
I'm happy to see that the seller is Honest about it being a Repro...
cheers, Glenn
Hi Guys,
This is a circa 1960's Souval production. Aside from their leftover wartime stock, by this time Souval/Umlauf were making cast reproductions of their own and S&L design badges. That Coastal Artillery is cast from Souval's wartime design, but here are two attached badges from the same era with the same hardware setup which were cast from S&L designs. Note the "L/58" stamped into the reverse.
Best regards,
---Norm
Another Souval from the same era.
