Krim campaign shield for review - Thanks as always for your time and wisdom!
Hey all,
This shield is part of that big haul, and I'm slowly going through it all, photographing, researching and (hopefully) authenticating. In my efforts to become conversant with so many different aspects of TR collecting, I've found that there are specialists within each sub-culture of collecting: One person is very knowledgeable about edged weapons, but doesn't know much about insignia and vice versa.
Because there were so many pieces of varying types in the haul, I am trying to cram a bunch of minutia in a short period of time. That said, I have done some research on this shield (and the two others I also bought) and it seems to have some of the qualities that make it authentic, most notably the lines in the eagle's wings and the correct cut/attachment method on the prongs.
As always, any wisdom is appreciated!

Nice Deumer shield and good photo's Rock. If it's magnetic it's the early production type, if not it's the later and far more common zinc example. Either way, it's an original piece.
Regards, Ned.
'I do not think we can hope for any better thing now.
We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.
Last Entry - For God's sake look after our people.'
In memory of Capt. Robert Falcon Scott, Edward Wilson, Henry Bowers, Lawrence Oates and Edgar Evans. South Pole Expedition, 30th March 1912.

Big Ned,
You are a gentleman and a scholar.
It is non-magnetic, so later production. I will post the Narvik and Demjansk shields next.
