Buy the item not the story. Shield is real, no idea on the award document, hucks is your man
When you're wounded and left of Afghanistan's plains,
An' the women come out to cut up what remains,
Jest roll to your rifle an' blow out your brains,
An' go to your Gawd like a soldier." - Rudyard Kipling
EK II, Krim shield, Ostmedaille and Infanterie Sturmabzeichen, all award documents are for $500. If the medals and documents are autnenticity, from what I can see around the Internet, that's a pretty good deal
The shield is good as JB says. It's an example by the maker Karl Wurster (KWM).
'I do not think we can hope for any better thing now.
We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.
Last Entry - For God's sake look after our people.'
In memory of Capt. Robert Falcon Scott, Edward Wilson, Henry Bowers, Lawrence Oates and Edgar Evans. South Pole Expedition, 30th March 1912.
its a good one.
Again better pics of the doc would help. Signature appears to be a facsimile of Erich Von Manstein. Stewy
Doc looks ok to me, facsimile of Manstein's signature. Stewy
Thank you very much for your comments. Got this in my hand yesterday. Just got to inspect it closely. She is a beauty! Looks like this was never attached to a uniform.
According to the award document, the person awarded to was in Jager Regiment 105. I'm having trouble verifying if 105 was in Crimean campaign. Could someone point me in the correct direction?
Thanks a lot
Jager regt105 was in the Crimea at this time. Stewy
