I have the book by Weber and have searched here and still cannot tell if this is good. I know the pins are wrong but the front to my 65 year old eyes looks ok . It is steel and I would like your opinions if you are so kind. Thanks

It's an original Karl Wurster (KWM) shield. The crude stitching securing the tight fit of the backing cloth to the back plate is fairly typical on the various campaign shields and was done most likely by the recipient.
