Krimschild advice requested.

Hello Ladies and Gents,

I have a Krimschild in my collection and I have been looking more closely at the backing material. The material almost looks like felt and is very soft, but on closer inspection it appears to be a very tight wool weave. The material is very dark green, a colour I have not seen before on these shields. In places it is worn and reveals a cross hatch weave, i don't think this would be present if the material was felt. My question is.... could this be a police issue Krimschild or is it just a replacement backing material and the wrong colour. Any advice or help would be very much appreciated. I can't supply a pic of the back at present but will upload one later today. The colour of the material in the pics is a goo match to he real thing.

A view of the reverse would be good as would posting the photos the right way up please.

These take careful study, and folks ain't gonna break their necks looking at this one until it's the right way up, and as said a reverso might help.
