Hello , I am no expert on these so I may well be wrong but as Harry has said ,the adlers head does have an odd beak ,the beak normally "hooks" over quite a way(nearly touching the wing). Also I do not like the way that the "4" in the 1941 is set at a different height to the "1"(lower), as is the "4" not level with the "2" in 1942(higher)? Just my thoughts ,as I say I'm no expert on these. Leon.

It is indeed a fake. Commonly refered to as 'Reproduction no.1' it's one of the most prolifc fakes out there. Here's another identical example for comparison. No fence sitting from Ned on this sucker.
