    Possible 57er, the original Lappland shields were field made from cast alloy or sheet brass/steel etc and never factory produced!..

    I agree with Gunny. @ Gunny, I've even seen leather Lapplands. Stewy

    Hi Guys,
    Does this as a 57er, have a value in the collectors market..... I know nothing about this sort of thing for sure.

    '57er's do have a value Damien. Not sure how much Lapp shields are though. Stewy

    57er items are collectable but not as valuable as TR items, not sure as to actual prices though!...
    @ Stewey, i thought the backing was paper but my eyes are knackered!..

    The backing is paper, Gunny. I've seen Lapp shields made from leather that are considered POW made. This was readily available to POW's, so why not? Lapp shields are one of the "greyest" TR areas IMO. Stewy
