Looks good at first glance but turned out to be a stinker...

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Can you please post a pic from the other side of the catch?I am not sure about the originality of this badge. The hook and the catch, looks not confirm to original badges, that i know from Arno Wallpach Erdkampfabzeichen.
Regards
Joachim
I will defer to Joachim's better knowledge on these badges because with the new images I can see why he raises some concerns.

I'm not seeing much trouble with the hook catch, but the pin itself looks like it has been replaced-as may the hinge itself as well. The pin axle should go through the hinge mounts and protrude, but this one looks to be solid. That big curley cue on the pin by the hinge is definitely not right, though.

My personal opinion is going to a fake.I post some pics, perhaps it is to see what i don't like at this badge.

The hinge and pin are definitely wrong and Joachim has pointed out some more valid discrepancies so I apologise and retreact my previous statement regarding the badge's authenticity. In light of these further images I am now of the opinion the badge is fake.
Thank you Joachim.
