Medaille "Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42" (Ostmedaille).
Hey guys,
I recently found this east campaign medal. It's in mint, the maker 63 (Franz Klast & Sohne) on ring and made out of zing. Can you guys tell me their opinions on it? I suspect is it repaint or something, because I never saw an example mint as this one. Thank

Looks fine, to me. Just unissued, likely.

Just because a particular item is mint it doesn't mean it is repainted or fake. It is entirely possible to find seventy year old items looking like they were made yesterday and equally possible to find items made yesterday looking seventy years old. Look at the item as a whole, not just the finish.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
Very nice original piece which is not repainted. Also, maker 63 is not easy to find.

All it's missing is it's envelope. Must have come right out of a supply depot somewhere. Barry Turk has some Very nice stuff...not Cheap, but nice!
