Hi all,
Been offered this set at a reasonable price. I have however read that the order is wrong - could it still be OK as otherwise all looks kosher to me.
Thanks, Dan

It looks like three individual mounts mashed together. Not neat, not tidy and no pic of the back?
The EK and KVK are placed on top of the 1914-18 Ehrenkreuz? Not how a genuine bar would've been made.
The individual pieces are good but don't pay for the sum of the parts.

From the photo the medals look original, however my concerns with the bar itself are that it does not look to be of the standard of manufacture that you would expect. The ribbons appear loose and almost draped over the bar, not tight and well put together. The IK and WMK ribbons almost completly cover the ribbon of the HK, whilst the WMK sits noticably lower on the bar than I would expect. I would be interested to see the rear of the bar also.
But not worth more than the three crosses individually
I will also add that the EK2 ribbon doesn't look original from this photo.

Thanks guys, I will ask for a photo of the back but the asking price is $110 so I didn't think that was too bad??
What makes the KVK ribbon look new Adrian .... the white at the edges?
Maybe it was a pair that someone spiced up with a TR medal????

The KVK ribbon is fine, the EK2 ribbon I have my doubts on. From the photo it looks like a modern made piece.
$110 Aus works out to be about £75 so the price for these as individuals is OK but it depends if they can be separated into their individual mounts.

Ah, sorry - didn't read your post carefully. Will investigate further, thanks!

Until we can see the bar from the back I will respectfully disagree with Steve based upon this image.
To me, the EK2 ribbon looks new and therefore shouldn't be there and it casts doubt over the integrity of the bar. The ribbon is also folded differently than the Hindenburg ribbon which also puts doubt in my mind. A medalbar should have the ribbons folded the same way. The KVK just doesn't belong there.
Unless the EK ribbon had fallen apart and was replaced with this modern piece very amateurly (the padding is coming out) I don't think any of these started out together. A reverse pic would help decide though!
