Saw this on a dealer's site, I have little experience with war time charm style miniatures and would appreciate opinions on this one. How common were these types of minis during the war, you don't seem to see them that often?

Hi Brig,

I think this is a fake for four reasons:
1) The orientation of the integrated loop is at right angles to what it should be for mounting on a miniature medal chain.
2) It's the same design as the obviously fake stickpin version attached here.
3) There's a fake U-Boat mini that's from the same maker.
4) It's hideous! (Even my wife says so and she doesn't usually react to what I'm writing...)
