Got this in today. My first miniature. It is really beautiful, especially the level of detail on such a small item. Cannot make out the makers mark, but it looks to be L something.

Where can you see the maker mark, it is usually at the bottom of the reverse

Beautiful miniature Tom. I can't tell the makers mark either, is the stamp an arc shape?

The mark is there, but I cannot make it out. It looks to be in a rectangle, Adrian.
Will see if taking a photo in daylight will shed any light (excuse the pun) on maker.

That is a tricky one to read! Can you see anything more through a loupe or similar?

I don't have a loupe. i use the one lens from a old broken rifle scope, but I cannot see it clearly. Will try and get hold of something more powerful. It might be L/15??

Got a nice photo using natural light. definitely looks like L/15 to me.
