Hi Robert,
These are quite rare and sought after. I've only ever seen one in a period photo (which I don't own unfortunately) but I do have a couple in the collection, silver and bronze, I posted them here.

I saw one in an antique store in Wisconsin one time and knew it was rare, but not as rare as you all say. Wish I would have picked it up. Thanks for sharing!

hi, another award that often turns up with a pin for wear instead of the normal ribbon is the hindenburg ehrenkreuz fur witwen ,anyone know if these awards were purchased with pin fixing or is it a private adaptation. cheers paul
